Description Teaching Godly Play: A Guided Book Study (Group #3)
One of the most important books for Godly Play practitioners to read and go back to time and again is "Teaching Godly Play: How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children," by Jerome Berryman. Join this group to read the book together with the guidance of a Godly Play trainer. This is a four-session series with meetings on the following Fridays from 4-5 pm (ET):
• May 7: Chapters 1-2, Why Play?/Thresholds
• May 21: Chapters 3-4, The Circle/Responses
• June 4: Chapters 5-6, The Feast/Leaving
• June 25: Chapters 7-8, Knowing/Growing
Each session participants will read and discuss two chapters. We highly recommend this for people who are just getting started with Godly Play, but it would also be a helpful refresher for those who have been using the method for awhile.
Trainer: Suzanne Burke
This book study is limited to 15 participants so that attendees have an opportunity to interact more with the trainers.
