Description Join us to learn the history, art and science of maple syrup as you discover the sugar bush at Stage Nature Center! Trek through trails to see how sap becomes syrup, both in modern times and long ago. We'll stop in the sugar shed to see the wood-stoked sap evaporator in action. This year, we take a global perspective, learning how saps around the world are used to make medicine, beverages, rubber and more.

Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more provided by the Troy Historic Village's Gift Shop.

Tours last 1.5 hours and start every half hour between 9 am and 3 pm. Register in advance for a specific day and time. Walk-ins are welcome the day of the program on a space available basis only.
