Ice Cream Social 2019 "Art In Nature" Participant

Description "Art In Nature" at the Stage Nature Center Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

New this year, guests of any age can submit artwork for the "Art In Nature" exhibit. Artwork should be based on the theme "What Nature Means To Me." Each artist MUST pre-register online by August 2 and submit a $3 fee to indicate their intention to submit artwork by the 3:00 pm deadline on Friday, August 2nd.

Limit one submission per artist. Total number of submissions accepted is limited to the first 100 online registrations. Proceeds support the educational programs and activities of the Stage Nature Center (SNC). Artists are welcome to take their artwork after the event or pick it up the following week, after which remaining artwork may be discarded.

To be guaranteed a spot in the exhibit and allow time for the organization to display submissions, pre-registered artwork (watercolor, sketching, drawings, photographs, etc.) must be submitted on 11" x 17" poster board to the nature center no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, August 2nd. SNC Staff and Board of Directors reserve the right to refuse to display any artwork deemed inappropriate.

Artists have the option to sell their artwork during the Ice Cream Social while also supporting the nature center. Artist receives 50% of the sale price and SNC receives 50% of the sale. When registering online, please indicate one of two options in the comment area: 1) Yes, my artwork will be for sale. The amount I will post on the artwork will be $_______. OR 2) NO, my artwork will not be for sale.

Please note: As a participant in this event:

1. You agree to authorize the Stage Nature Center/Troy Nature Society/City of Troy without prior examination or approval to reproduce, copy, exhibit, publish, broadcast, display via internet, or distribute your photo, your artwork or any and all videos and photographs taken while participating in the organization's program(s) and activities.

2. Additionally, you hereby voluntarily release and hold harmless the Stage Nature Center/Troy Nature Society, City of Troy and Troy Nature Society Contractors/Independent Contractors from all liability for all types of damages or injuries, whether foreseeable or not, sustained by myself, or other family members while participating, watching and traveling to or from this activity.

3. Artists who have indicated that their artwork is for sale: You also agree that SNC will collect proceeds from the sale of your artwork. SNC will distribute 50% of the proceeds to the artist and retain 50% of the proceeds.
