Description Fundraising Planning, Activities, and Your Gift Acceptance Policy

Standards for Excellence® sets the benchmarks for nonprofits in these important areas. During this session you will learn about:

--Annual fundraising or resource development plan
--Cost effectiveness of fundraising/development activities
--Diversified income sources
--Accurate, truthful, and respectful fundraising/development activities
--Donor relationships and donor privacy policy
--Gift acceptance policy
--Proper registration as a professional fundraiser
--Percentage-based compensation of development staff (not allowed)

Participants will receive 4 educational resource packets full of samples and examples, including a sample resource development plan and gift acceptance policy. At the end of the training session, you will be able to complete the Resource Development section of the Standards for Excellence organizational assessment and planning tool.

This training will be offered in Huntsville at Burritt on the Mountain and on Zoom. Danielle Dunbar, Executive Director of the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, will lead this training session.

Level: 101 and open to all

You may register for the hybrid training or a link to the recorded training with materials. Registration for the live or Zoom version ends on 8/17/22, and registration for the recorded session ends on 8/18/23.

A cap of 20 in person and 25 online attendees on 8/18/22.
Registration cap for recorded session is unlimited.

All registrants will be emailed a homework assignment and resource packets a week before the training. Those joining by Zoom will also receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting.

Those selecting the recorded session will be sent the resource packet and link to the recording on 8/19/22.
