Description
When it comes to DEI, the National Council of Nonprofits urges each nonprofit to "examine and articulate its own values” and to determine how these values are applied in daily operations. This takes commitment and accountability, yet about 2/3 of nonprofits do not have a staff person who is solely dedicated to DEI, and even for those that do, many are thought to be inadequately resourced or positioned. (Nonprofit HR, 2022). Kristin Powell and Martha Anne Rich, coaching psychologists and creators of Culture Advantage, a program for DEI leaders, will lead a discussion about the specific challenges that people leading DEI in nonprofits experience, including advancing the idea that DEI belongs to everyone.
Drs. Powell and Rich will also share information about the Culture Advantage program as well as resources for self- and organizational assessment they can use immediately in their own DEI work.
