Description 9:00-3:00, 6 hours with breaks included

Our trainer is Terra Mortensen, Grant Writer & Founder of TerraGrants+. Terra has worked as a consultant, grant writer, and marketing writer for nonprofit organizations in the greater Birmingham area since 2010. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she graduated with University Honors and was recognized nationally as a PRSSA Gold Key recipient. Terra leads a team of consultants offering a range of experience in writing and editing; local, regional, and federal grants; and design. She spent fifteen years in marketing, advertising, and public relations, where she worked with a variety of commercial and non-profit companies across a range of industries before starting her consulting business.

Her AAN training session, Grant Writing 201, will include time devoted to:

-Finding a Grant
-Pre-proposal work
-Partnerships and collaborations
-Honing a program to make it more fundable
-Writing Tips
-Evaluations
-Logic Models
-Budgets
-Determining Resources
-Making the Deadline

Participant Level: 201, for participants who have written grants before but want to take it to the next level.

Training will be held in Birmingham and on Zoom.

The cost is $99.00 for members and $199.00 for nonmembers.
If 2 or more from your organization attend, it is $89.00 for members and $189 for nonmembers. Please contact Carla Smotherman, carla@alabamanonprofits.org for the discount code.

You may register for the live training or online training on 11/18/21; or register to get a link to the recorded training with materials. Registration for the hybrid version ends on 11/15/21 and registration for the recorded session ends on 12/31/22.

There is a cap of 25 in person and 20 online attendees on 11/18/21. Registration cap for the recorded session is unlimited.
