Description The D51 Foundation cordially invites you to attend our D51F Community Engagement evening on Thursday, April 27 from 6:00 p.m. -7:15 p.m. at the Harry Butler Board Room located at 455 N. 22nd Street at the new R-5. The D51F is sponsoring this meeting to help Explore D51 members, PTA/PTO Officers, Community Visioning participants, D51F Ambassadors, and D51 Volunteers hear first-hand about the importance of schools in our community.

We will begin the event with an update from the D51 Foundation followed by presentations from Kristi Pollard at the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) and the Fruita City Manager Mike Bennett. They will discuss the role schools play in our economy and in our cities. Next, the Director of D51 Buildings and Maintenance Department Eric Nilsen will give a presentation. It will be an opportunity to hear about the current hard work being done in our school buildings and the needs in our buildings. Lastly, the D51 Manager of Resource Conservation Eric Anderson will share ways D51 is proactively finding ways to cut costs across the school district.

We hope to provide an evening to help inform all of our engaged community members and parents about the importance of schools in our community. We look forward to sharing more information with you at the event.
