Online Prayer Series: The Jesus Prayer
In this session, we will learn about the ancient Christian practice of the Jesus Prayer. Developed in the early centuries of Christianity, the Jesus Prayer, or Prayer of the Heart, involves the repetition of a sacred phrase which is intended to keep one's mind and heart constantly on the Lord. The session will include an overview of the historical origins of the prayer method, practical instruction on how to discern your own sacred words, and an actual experience of the prayer method.
