Ignatian Contemplation is a time-tested practice that welcomes people of any level of training to more deeply engage with sacred scriptures.  This prayer form engages the head and the heart and integrates daily life experience into the reflective process. Ignatian Contemplation involves using the imagination and the senses in order to fully enter into the scene of the scriptural text. Ignatius assumed that God speaks to us through our human faculties and encouraged prayers to use these faculties in prayer. In this session, we will experience Ignatius' evocative method of prayer. The session will include an historical overview, practical tips on how to pray with the scriptures, and an actual experience of Ignatian Contemplation.
