SUMMARY:Conscious & Contemplative Aging - A Day Retreat
CATEGORIES:event
DESCRIPTION:Conscious & Contemplative Aging - A Day Retreat How can we look at aging as life-expanding rather than limiting? As we age, we are presented with the opportunity to grow spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically...or not. We get to choose. Conscious Aging is an interactive program based on the work of the Institute of Noetic Sciences that offers guidance, meaning, connection, and community to those seeking to grow older gracefully. This approach aims to shift consciousness from self-limitation, isolation, anxiety, and fear towards expansiveness, wholeness, connection, and compassion. Join Institute of Noetic Science Conscious Aging Facilitator, Mabeth Hudson, for this retreat day to explore key aspects of conscious aging, gain insight from our inner personal and collective wisdom, and integrate inspirational ideas. The day will include these themes: What does it mean to age consciously? How can we reframe our perspectives, bringing kindness to ourselves and others? What practices and intentions do you choose to help you age well? With Mabeth’s compassionate guidance, participants will: · Become aware of their inner strengths · Reframe perspectives on aging from self-limiting to self-expanding · Reduce fear, anxiety, and isolation about aging · Help people find meaning and purpose as they grow older Please bring a journal for your reflections and a bag lunch. Light snacks will be provided. DATE: Saturday, April 26, 2025 TIME: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM COST: $70 LOCATION: Well for the Journey - 120 W.
