2020 Virtual Nature Uncorked Fundraiser

As you may know, the Troy Nature Society (TNS) holds its annual Nature Uncorked Wine & Beer Tasting event every fall. Recently members of the TNS Board of Directors and members of the Nature Uncorked Committee made the necessary decision to cancel this year’s in-person event which was scheduled to be held on Friday, November 6th. While we are committed to keeping everyone safe and healthy and doing our part to contain the spread of COVID-19, we are also determined to stay the course and continue raising funds to support the nature center.

We are asking your support of this year’s Virtual Nature Uncorked fundraiser with a “virtual ticket” contribution made online or check sent by direct mail. Your generous contribution will go a long ways towards supporting the activities of the nature center: a) Children and adults will learn about nature, science and the importance of good stewardship of the environment. b) Our resident reptiles, amphibians and rehabilitated owls that serve as the nature center's Animal Ambassadors will continue to receive the food and medical care that is vital to their livelihood. c) The nature center will be preserved as a vital educational resource and continue to serve as a valuable respite space in our community.

All contributors making a virtual ticket donation of $25 or more will have their name entered into a drawing for various door prizes based on donation level and quantity of virtual tickets purchased (as indicated in the purchase area above). All contributors making a donation of $10 will have their name entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Complimentary 1-year TNS Family Membership (valued at $40) based on the quantity of $10 purchases. Contributions to the virtual fundraiser will begin September 1st and conclude at 11am on November 6th. All door prize drawings will be conducted Live on Facebook at 1pm on November 6th so mark your calendars to logon to our Facebook page at that time. www.facebook.com/StageNC/

Contributions are tax-deductible. Receipts will be issued.
