Description Since 2010, Terra Mortensen has worked as a consultant and grant writer for nonprofit organizations. She has written winning proposals for clients across the Southeast. Her current local clients include Alabama Lions Sight, Backyard Blessings, Magic Moments, Mission of Hope, H.E.A.L. Alabama, the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, and others.

Her workshop will cover grant writing fundamentals such as how to find grants, determine fundable projects, write persuasive proposals, and make your organization stand out. She will also discuss budgets for grants.

This 6-hour training will be offered in hybrid with the in-person location at Samford University in Birmingham, and the online location on Zoom. It is $150 for members and $300 for nonmembers, and lunch will be provided for in-person participants. (Online participants receive $10.00 off the registration price since they will not receive lunch.)

The maximum class size is 25 in person and 20 online. Registration closes on September 14.

Training will be held in Room 351 at Cooney Hall - Brock School of Business at Samford University. Parking permits will be emailed to you prior to the training date.
