Description Nonprofit Boards from the Ground Up:
Stewarding, Engaging, and Getting Down to Business

Your Trainer
Bethany Green is a graduate of the University of North Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Communications. She then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Belmont University following a passion and drive for serving the nonprofit sector. After working as a campaign coordinator with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Bethany then landed back at her alma mater where she has spent the last 10+ years developing programs for students and community organizations in volunteerism and service. She is an adjunct instructor teaching grant writing and nonprofit management classes at UNA and received her Certified Nonprofit Professional distinction in 2022 from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Her greatest joy comes from championing nonprofit organizations and supporting those who are behind the scenes doing the work. Despite her career accomplishments, Bethany is most proud of her role as a mother to her 5 year old daughter, Lola. When she needs to relax and connect back to herself, Bethany enjoys traveling, a good cup of coffee, and being outdoors.

Your Session
Nonprofit organizations all face challenges when it comes to board governance. This workshop begins with an orientation into board service and gets back to basics with the top roles and responsibilities of nonprofit board members.
