Kids Printmaking Camp:
Thursday, March 25, 2021 4:00 PM to Thursday, April 15, 2021 5:00 PM
Virtual Class Hosted by Caponi Art Park
You will receive the link to the class Zoom account via email by the instructor prior to the class.
3/25, 4/1, 4/8 and 4/15
Learn the exciting and interesting basics of printmaking art in this four-day camp. Students will use materials that many young artists have at home to create some impressive printmaking artwork.
Each day of camp, students will cover a brand new printmaking technique, including an art historical lesson, and apply it to their own masterpieces. Art lessons include aluminum foil monoprints, styrofoam relief prints, printing with CDs and radial prints. Accompanying art historical information will give an overview of the history of printmaking art, and then each day will dive deeper into topics discussed on day one.
The instructor will begin each class period with a brief art history lesson, and answer any questions students may have. The majority of the class time will be spent following along with the instructor to make the art project for each day. No prior art or printmaking experience is needed to enjoy this class.
Students will finish printmaking camp with a better understanding of basic printmaking art terms and techniques and several different artworks that they masterfully crafted all on their own!
