My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars - Book Study
Star Wars isn’t all laser swords and space wizards; at the heart of this global franchise is a call to discern between forces of light and dark. This is familiar language to anyone engaged in a spiritual journey. St. Ignatius of Loyola, a Catholic soldier-turned-mystic saint, developed a whole spiritual system dedicated to ferreting out the dark side in favor of the light. Nearly 500 years later, the spirituality that bears his name is just as relevant to our lives. In My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars, award-winning author, and this year's Well Said Speaker, Eric A. Clayton brings the stories of Star Wars into dialogue with Ignatian spiritualty, inviting readers to reflect on their own struggles, decisions, vocations and, ultimately, the constant call to discover new hope. Join us for a relaxing summer evening of wine, cheese, and engaging study as Eric guides us in an intimate discussion through key themes from his book, inviting us to reflect together, share our own spiritual journeys, and grow as a community along the way.
