Description

Drumming for the Earth: Rooted in Rhythm, Lifted in Spirit

As the Earth awakens in spring, we are invited to remember our place within her living rhythms. Enjoy an afternoon with Katy Gaughan of Drumming for Wellness as we create community and learn how to play hand drums to honor the Earth through the healing, positive vibrations of the drum. Together, we will form a vibrant circle of intention, joy, and grounding as we offer our collective heartbeat back to the planet on the grounds of Well for the Journey.

This experience is welcoming, energizing, and perfect for beginners. No prior drumming experience is needed. Drums will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own drum.

During our time together we will:

  • · Learn about rhythm culture and its connection to the Earth

  • · Explore how to generate different sounds on the drum

  • · Play ancient rhythms that connect us to ourselves, one another, and Mother Earth

  • · Sing and drum songs to honor and offer healing to the Earth

  • · Create joyful improvisational music together in community

Come with your curiosity and your heartbeat—and feel the pulse of the planet!
