Description Mindfulness for Wellbeing: Explorations on how to bring mindfulness into daily life (Online Program)

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness is a quality that every human being already possesses, it’s not something you have to conjure up, you just have to learn how to access it. (Mindful.org)

A huge body of research now shows that mindfulness can have an incredibly positive impact on our lives. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It improves our focus, resilience, and memory, and it has a whole host of health benefits, including increased immune function and powerful anti-aging properties. People who practice mindfulness report feeling calmer and happier, having more fulfilling relationships, and experiencing a greater sense of life satisfaction and wellbeing. (Mindfulness.com)

In this program, we will explore mindfulness basics such as mindfulness definitions, mindfulness of body, breath, thoughts, and emotions. In addition, the course will invite participants to strengthen practices of forgiveness, compassion, and kindness. The course will conclude with ways to include mindfulness in fast- paced daily life.
